Fancy a fun alternative to ring-throwing? This newly-wed couple certainly did. We were recently invited to a beautiful wedding at Moot Hall in Lincolnshire, and brought our axe-throwing expertise to the many celebrations that were already underway. The sun was beaming, and the guests took full advantage of the beautiful surroundings for some sunshine and fresh air. We introduced four lanes of axe target stands, under the guidance of our trained professionals.

The guests quickly picked it up, and once the initial light-hearted amusement of the bride and groom stepping up for the first go was out of the way, guests were quickly landing axes comfortably in the board. We made sure that everyone was given tuition on how to use the axes safely, before progressing on to a leaderboard – which was great for getting the guests to socialize and interact with one-another.

Everyone had an amazing time, and were lighthearted about the leaderboard, just having a laugh and making sure everyone was included. We even surprised the bride and groom by getting them to take the first throw for the leaderboard, and they were the first to register an official score, setting the bar for the rest of the group!

Moving away from more conventional wedding activities such as ring-throwing, axe-throwing proved to be a really popular and different spin on the celebrations. People were able to relax and have fun with their friends and family, while trying something new and exciting. The wedding at Moot Hall was a success, and everyone was back to forgetting who-got-what on the leaderboard as soon as the sun went down.
