Play Cards for Pubs & Breweries

Play Card Revenue

What is Play Card Revenue?

The TimberJacks mobile axe throwing pub tour is a collaboration with publicans and breweries who are seeking to offer additional entertainment options for their patrons while increasing wet and dry sales.

TimberJacks takes pride in delivering a safe environment for the exhilarating activity of axe throwing. All that is required to host this event is a car park or any outdoor available venue-associated space. You have the flexibility to book our services for either 6 or 10 hours.

Play Card Revenue For Pubs & Breweries

Drawing on our experience of delivering axe throwing at festivals, we have devised a tried and tested method for generating revenue through the use of play cards.

Play cards are available for purchase by each player at a recommended price of £5 each, through your establishment granting players access to a round of scored throws.

Proceeds from play cards remain yours as we are paid prior to the event. With our help, a well-publicised event has the potential of generating play card sales that surpass this cost. Additionally, you will gain a notable increase on both your wet and dry sales during the course of the event too.

There are two play card types to choose from. Both involve rounds of 5 throws, with the addition of two practice throws before scoring begins.

Play card 1 offers a player the chance to win a TimberJacks tee if they manage to score 25 or more points with their five throws.

Play card 2 presents a slightly more enticing proposition by offering the chance to win a cash prize. The highest score achieved throughout the day will be awarded this prize which we recommend is set at £50 and provided by you.

We find the cash prize incentive encourages a higher repeat spend during the event and generates a greater deal of competition. In the event of a tie break we hold decider rounds to determine the overall winner.

Choose Your Play Card

To book your establishment onto our pub tour, simply navigate to our user-friendly booking platform. Once there, you’ll have access to our calendar displaying available dates in real time.

It is advisable to plan ahead and secure your spot at least four weeks in advance to ensure sufficient time for promoting your participation on the tour.

Promote & Sell

Once you have completed the necessary steps of booking and receiving your promotional materials and play cards, you can proceed with the selling process.

By utilising a combination of posters, beer mats, and digital files, you will be able to effectively inform everyone about your participation in the TimberJacks pub tour. Most importantly, this will enable you to commence selling the £5 play cards that customers can use on the day of the event.

Upon purchasing a box of play cards, you will receive a quantity of 250 cards which possess a revenue value totalling £1250. It is recommended to opt for the full day event if you anticipate being capable of surpassing sales of 150 cards pre-event and during.

On the day we’ll arrive 30 minutes early and position ourselves, with 15 minutes allocated for preparation, we will be fully equipped to commence play at the publicised time.

If you still have play cards yet to sell – don’t worry as these will sell throughout the day.

Availability is limited and we are often fully booked well in advance for popular times during school holidays (especially the Summer) and bank holiday weekends. Additionally, our tour slots tend to be reserved early for Oktoberfests throughout October as well. Therefore, it is highly recommended to make your bookings promptly in order to secure your preferred tour dates.
